Robert M. Sheets

President and CEO

Mr. Sheets was born in Washington, D.C. on March 13, 1963. Rob was brouht up in the Catholic schools of Mount Cavalry. At the age of 12, Rob moved to Texas to live with his aunt so that he could compete at a higher level athletics. He went on to compete in high school in swimming, football, soccer and track.

After graduating in 1981 from MacArthur High School, Rob chose to attend Texas Tech University. While at Tech, Rob competed in swimming, anchored his own sports show for the local radio station and found time to become a founding father of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.

Rob graduated from Texas Tech in 1986 with a B.A in Communications, and spent several years in the consulting business before deciding to pursue a graduate degree. In 1989, Rob went on to West Virginia University to garner a Master of Science in Sport Management with honors. While at West Virginia, Rob was the president of the Sport Management Majors Club and was actively involved in the Athletic Department.

Upon completion of the course work, he went on to the University of Texas at Arlington to complete the internship portion of his degree program, serving as the Director of Marketing and Research Development. He was responsible for bringing in sponsors for all athletic programs and finding new ways to enhance the existing programs.

Since the inception of KRS III in 1992, Rob has remained heavily involved in volunteer activities, working for the Special Olympics, aiding with the local chapters of his fraternity, teaching classes for his church and acting as the Vice-President of the Texas Tech Alumni Association. He remains active in running, swimming, and martial arts.
